Peer supporters ask questions but don’t provide answers. They help people find their own answers.
Eh about not being licensed counselors but likely the only way to make it work… besides, we aren’t licensed either. That was one of my concerns when I started reading, it’s good to see that they let people arrive at their own conclusions rather than steer them down a particular path.
If churches suddenly started welcoming doubters to their potlucks, the hot line project wouldn’t be necessary.
Is there any problem that food and the sharing of food can’t solve?
This is a big one, fear of rejection or depression resulting from being rejected loom large.
