(Admin issue) messages stuck in outbox

Hi admins,

Does anyone know why PMs sometimes sit in an outbox for days on end?

I’ve been having a PM conversation with someone, but it seems to take days for the reply to be sent. It means there are sometimes 4 to 5 days between replies leaving the outbox.

I have had them sit there for a couple hours, not days – but I don’t use the feature frequently. Seems like something fixable.

It’s not stuck. The message is “sent” to the recipient but the message remains in your outbox until it is read by the recipient.

So if you send me a PM it will not be removed from your outbox until I read it. That’s just the way phpbb is designed.
