My age make me be on my own and I grow up without a father and a mother who was 42 years old when I was born.

I know I have a family in afterlife but have needed a family here on earth that I can join. I started with this thinking when my mother started to get dementia sickness and could not be a mother to me as a young woman.

I had a hope to could fit in to a family when I become a member in 2016 but it was wrong and I am alone and disappointed on the church that didn’t took care of me. No one in the church take contact with me and I have stop to visit the church since I become disabled in 2018 but can handle to be disabled on my own but some things I did before do I need to let it go.

I have a letter written to delete my membership but not want to post it because I have still hope.

How to find a family, who accept me ?

Maybe is it wrong for you but for me is it real that a family have a heart to help me or adopt me.

Welcome annv. We are happy that you found us. We can be your family, if you wish.

For a person who classifies herself as disabled, you seem to have done a lot of traveling.

I would like to hear more about you. Things like:

. How & why did you join the church?

. What attracted you to the church in the first place?

. What attracted you to go to Israel so many times?

. Are there specific issues that turned you away?

. Did you go to a temple? What was the experience like?

. Is or was your family in the church?

You seem to have a lot of life experiences. It would be interesting to hear more about them.

    I agree with MM.

We can be your virtual family if you would like.

Some wards function better than others as a “ward family.”

Different people need different things from the church. For example, it seems that you would like for it to be more all encompassing like a family. I would not like that very much because I need to have boundaries and keep ward people at arms length.

Welcome to the StayLDS family Annav.

I am glad you found this site. I hope we can help.

Finding a new family as an adult can be difficult anywhere, in any group or religion. Some cultures are better at it than others, so where you live can make a difference. In our ward, there are a few single sisters who have connected with others, including some families, but life makes it hard for most of them to do a lot together, like a biological nuclear family with kids naturally does.

Have you talked directly with your local Relief Society President about your situation? I have no idea if she would be able to help in the way you would like, but there probably is a better chance than the bishop being able to help.
