World War Z stars a certain Mireille Enos, never heard of her, but lo and behold:
Enos loves drama, too, but in a professional capacity – not a personal one. Married with a young daughter, Enos didn’t really hit the pop culture radar until she landed a recurring role on Big Love in 2007. It was an interesting choice for a woman who grew up Mormon in the heart of Texas, but Enos says she’s very good at compartmentalizing. She also says she doesn’t talk about religion.
I just try to be wherever I am, totally. If I am home with the baby, that is what I am doing. If I am working, that is what I am doing. I compartmentalize as much as possible. For me, it’s not complicated. When I am telling whatever story I am telling, I immerse myself in that. And when the camera stops rolling, I stop. I find it most helpful to be open to whatever is actually true. So when the camera isn’t rolling, I am Mireille Enos. That is true. And as long as I keep myself in truth that helps the work stay alive and real.
