Some things simply need to be shared for their amazingly profound content. Lupita Nyong’o won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, but she delivered a stunning speech when she was awarded “Best Breakthrough Performance” at the seventh annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon a few days before the Academy Awards.
I wish every woman and girl in the world could watch this speech. It is probably the best statement on beauty I have ever seen.

Yes! :thumbup: Of course I grew up with the opposite. You had to be “tan” to be beautiful(both guys and girls). Sought non stop beach and tanning salons. Had a few grandmothers and 1 grandfather die from skin cancer for that belief. I hope either dies.
