Yes, I have felt that way for a long time. We ought to serve simply for the service that people need.
If we do this, most of the PR will take care of itself. The sole exception might be disinformation about the church which is plentiful, particularly the temple stuff. I think churches – and other religions – should work against the real evils in our society. Not gays etc, but deprivation, violence against spouses/children, gun crime etc
