GuestJust checking in from what seems like forever and a day ago! I first would like to say that I, LaLaLove, give this support forum major props for helping me through my faith crisis many moons ago! I highly recommend this group.
 Although I have NOT stayed LDS I am so so happy to say that I have left the boundaries of Mormonism with a healed heart, and lack of a bitter taste for the most part. I gotta say it had a lot to do with the power within me and a whole lot to do with this place keeping me sane! My husband has since joined my evil forces😈 and became a nonpracticing Mormon as well.He seemed to have no problem or struggle with this, go figure! Life is beautiful and everything is great aside from my MIL believing I’ve dragged my poor DH into the depths of outer darkness with my mind control tactics, which I must say I completely understand and quite easily brush it off of my shoulders. My family is up two children (that makes three!) as of Jan. 2013 Just a tad bit of new info for anyone that remembers me! Big shout out to Brian and Ray-Keep on keeping on! I know I didn’t stay LDS but you’ve given me something just as special, acceptance – forgiveness – All of the great attributes needed to overcome this big obstacle in my journey. Thank you. Thank you.

GuestThanks for the update, LLL – and for your kind words. You know I wish you could have made it work out within the Church – and that I hope you can write another post eventually about your “journey back”
🙂 , but I’m truly glad you’re happy. No strings attached to that sentiment whatsoever.

GuestWell, the LDS church is not going to work for everyone. I wish you and spouse the best as you journey to find the gods. Peace in this life…and perhaps the next. Out.

I’m glad to hear how things turned out and that you are doing well. Staying active in the Church is definitely not something that is easy or worthwhile for everyone especially if they don’t have many family ties to it and/or don’t really like it that much. It can take a lot of patience and conscious effort for unorthodox members to put up with the Church the way it is now even if they loved it as TBMs and really want to make it work so I definitely don’t blame you for moving on.

GuestRay and I were talking about what people need, and I concluded from our conversation that some people just need acceptance. Not preaching, not fellowship, not group worship, just acceptance. Glad you found it here! -
