Blocked IP range from South Korea

I noticed that the most traffic to our site over the last several months came from an IP address in South Korea (203.133.169.52).

I searched for posts from that address and didn’t find any, so I’m guessing this might be a bot. I took the precaution of blocking the following IP range:

203.133.169.0 – 203.133.169.255

If we know someone that lurks or posts from SK I’ll remove the block, if not I’ll wait for someone to complain before removing the block.

Just to let people know. Every once in a blue moon I’m looking up the locations of the IP addresses of the top 25 people that visit the forum.

I’m banning individual IPs that are from Germany, Russia, and China.

Half the traffic on this site so far this month came from Germany, and that doesn’t seem right. I see in our IP ban list that the site has had issues that merited blocking Germany in the past.

There’s potential for someone legit to get banned in this process. If that happens I’ll wait for an email to the admin to correct those sorts of mistakes.
