Posted to Spiritual forum. It was the experience I had when I was released from my mission. I’ve never been able to explain what it was that happened to me, but it was quite real/profound.

Went through a trial of faith about 4 or 5 years ago, and have stuck to the gospel because of a couple anchoring experiences I’ve had.

Look forward to chatting with you.

    Welcome HRC,

Thanks for joining the conversation. Glad to have you here with us.

I have had some deeply profound spiritual experiences too. I can’t explain them either. I am not sure they mean the same thing to me that perhaps they meant in the past. They are still deeply meaningful. The human experience is not a completely rational. We are not made to be totally rational. In fact, I believe the cutting edge of our evolutionary progress (or call it our divine journey of progression) is found at the edge of our imagination, at the border where the conscious and logical blends into the transcendent.

I choose not to deconstruct my sensory input so far that I doubt my experiences. I may not know what they are anymore, but they will always have deep meaning.

    Welcome to the Group.

I liked your posting: “What keeps me grounded”.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard about a release being go physical & spiritual at the same time.

At least in the current, modern times. Very interesting.

    Keep it coming.

    Mike from Milton.

Same here. Had a deeply powerful spiritual experience that encouraged me to the join the LDS church, and its one reason I just can’t walk away. Like Brian, it has different meaning to me now. Before I thought it meant I had to be a Mormon, but now I wonder if it was encouragement to pursue the path of baptism and reap the benefits during my early twenties of clean living, association with good people, etcetera — before I had the “philosophical mind” (quoting Wordsworth) to challenge some of the experienced one has an active member of the LDS church.
