GuestFolks, With a sad heart I learned this morning that Nat Waldron, an early member of this community who posted as “cwald” and beloved by many, passed away from cancer at the age of 63. He was a close friend to Brian Johnston, one of the first administrators of this forum, who also passed away some years go. Both died well before their time.
When I first posted here about 12 years ago, Nat/cwald was instrumental in helping me not melt down, in staying my own course in life. He eventually did not “stay LDS,” having become a little bitter by the whole leadership roulette in his local church community, but he was very supportive of others. He was loving and kind, thoughtful and reflective.
It just reminds me of something very poignant: we are wayfarers in a journey, and as fellow travelers, we need each other. Nat was there for me, as were many of you early in my journey. But the journey goes on, and as I lose beloved friends along the Way, it reminds me of how important each and every moment spent together is.
No, I don’t post here very much at all any more. But my memories of this special place remain precious.
Peace and love to you all!

GuestCwald was very active when I first came here as well. Thank you for sharing about his passing. I know he participated in other forums as well, and I’m sure he will be missed. May 31, 2024 at 7:37 am #345063Anonymous
GuestI’m very sorry to hear of cwald’s passing. I remember him well and enjoyed his many posts, particularly as I was beginning my faith paradigm shift and needed to understand that I was not alone. I know this forum is less active than it was back then, but it’s still helpful for me, and much appreciated, as are the members within. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and may good fortune and happiness be in your path.

GuestI am at the age where I am experiencing the loss of a number of people who were once important, or still were, important in my life. Celebrities, high school class mates, university class mates, and family members. Hearing about the passing of cwald, who was one of my friends here, helps me appreciate the life I still have to live, being roughly. Rest in peace cwald – we will miss you.
