Just so everyone is aware of it, someone in a private, “transitions” Facebook group has been claiming that we and one other support site have an agreement with the LDS Church to tone down criticism and push people to stay active. She even stated that she knew StayLDS had received financial assistance from the Church as part of that agreement. When she was challenged on it by an admin at the other site, after he contacted me just to make sure she was flat-out wrong, she backed down – but she still insists that we both are trying to get Stake Presidents to refer people to us. I told him that we would love it if local leaders recommended people to us, but that we generally try to fly under the radar as much as possible at that level. I also told him that I have told my local leaders, since I started here nearly ten years ago, that I am an admin at a support site for members who are struggling with a faith crisis of some kind, but that I have NEVER told ANY of them the actual name of this site.
I am sure it is a tempest in a teapot situation, and I have no idea why she would make such an outlandish and incorrect claim, but I want all of you to know about it.

Someone in Nevada probably is getting a testimony of paying tithing right now. 😆 Mine are being garnished for back tithing. Such a blessing. The strain of post-Mo that leans toward conspiracy theory is just not my cup of tea. Does that mean he isn’t getting a royalty check from tithing surplus?
I guess this little thought is growing. My husband read about it last night. He teasingly asked me where I was stashing my take. – My answer was “I wish.”
