GuestI would like to thank the author of the church is true website as I know it has helped me !!! The New Mormonism is the way of the future as the current way of looking at the church is unsustainable for the future . I am no longer a member of the church but I think at some point in the future I will probably come back given this new way of looking at the church. Thanks Again !! We Don’t have to be perfect members just trying to be !!!!! God Bless All !

GuestI’m glad this nuanced view has helped you. I know for me it has not been so easy. While I agree the current hard line stance of the church on many literal issues will not be able to continue to hold water, the nuanced view has its own challenges. Sometimes the mental gymnastics required to hold things as purely metaphorical, yet still “true” can be difficult. Furthermore, for me the nuanced stance on many of the issues loses steam in terms of being an empowering faith, at least for me. I personally struggle with that vantage point, even while I also cannot entirely embrace the current official stance of the church on many issues. That leaves me with my current stance of not really being a believer, but still being a member. It’s a difficult position to be in. August 27, 2017 at 12:01 am #317873Anonymous
GuestHe used to post here quite a bit back about a year ago. I think he realized that as accepting as this group was, it wasn’t a HUGE audience like you can get with FaceBook. So he spends his “time” there. August 27, 2017 at 2:08 am #317874Anonymous
GuestIt is by far one of the most useful, enlightning blogs for me, when it comes to the Church. It’s still a roller coaster of a ride, but it does help me to find more common ground with the Church membership. I’d recommend it to anyone who is struggling. -
