The worst are often when someone is asked to read out a general conference talk. Any charm the original had vanishes.
I debate about hiding in the nursery with my 13 month old during Gospel Doctrine and R.S. (but I haven’t because for Gospel Doctrine my husband feels he needs me at his side and makes a big stink at home, and the nursery becomes the 3-4 year old classroom 3rd hour – shortage of nursery leaders and rooms). I am not fond of D&C, and the teacher I found enthralling last year I find boring this year. I was called to teach R.S. for a month (before re-assigned to Primary) and I loved it. It was my favorite calling ever. And now we have 3 struggling sisters whose lessons don’t engage me. I attend for the comments from our R.S. leadership, and the 1x a month they teach. I can understand being a guinea pig for an unskilled teacher 1x a month as a way to help them be better teachers, but all 3 of them?
Yep, only one good lesson a month is rough.
