Just so everyone knows, Featherina wrote another blistering comment about how evil and un-Christian the leaders of the Church are for supporting the City Creek project – and she used the Old Testament model of tithing distribution again as the basis of her condemnation. She again blasted everyone who doesn’t agree with her (that it is an example of great evil that is grinding the faces of the poor), but this time she equated it with calling the earth flat – and other insults. I deleted the comment, locked the thread and posted a note explaining that we need to leave that topic alone now.
Let me know what you think. Is everyone OK with that?
She also just posted a comment in the Middle Way vs. Lukewarm thread that listed two harmful things about the Church she is trying to keep her children from learning. Guess what the first one was? Yep, “financial corruption” for not following the OT version of tithing distribution to help the poor. It was totally irrelevant to the thread (and I mean absolutely, 100% irrelevant), so I deleted that portion of the comment and sent her a PM asking her directly to give it a rest. It was exactly like bridget_night used to do with regard to homosexuality in every thread, no matter what the topic was.
Sounds good. We might need to give her a “time out” to cool off for a while. Maybe she is having some kind of extreme life stress related to finances. It’s common these days. We can ban her for a short period of time. The tool allows an automatic lifting of the ban in a set period of time, if I remember correctly. Brian, if she tries again, I would support something like that – but it shouldn’t come from me. I don’t want her to think it’s a personal thing. OK. I can swing the ban hammer, if it comes to that.
