😆 😆 Good analogy.Quote:My friend who was so confrontational looked triumphant. In her own mind, I think she sees her “talk” as the reason I was at church. SMH.
What are your plans going forward? Any plans in case she ambushes you again?

Wouldn’t it be great to bring coffee to RS and then tell her…”thanks for helping me find something to do on Sunday while I drink my coffee”?
 OK, maybe not.
But these times when people push your buttons give you opportunities to think about what you do and to practice that Charity that was discussed above, and know that some confrontation is just going to be a waste of effort with some people.
The good thing was it sounded like you found some good things at church, in moments. That is good to keep looking for those and realizing it won’t always happen…but sometimes they do and sometimes it is good for your soul.

GuestHeber – Don’t tempt me. Quote:“thanks for helping me find something to do on Sunday while I drink my coffee”?
 The cup alone, no matter the contents would be worth the glare.

GuestAn empty cup The statement:
Quote:I appreciate your suggestion last week, but I can’t bring myself to follow that suggestion and drink coffee. I want to honor your effort to help me feel comfortable drinking coffee here, however, so I did bring the cup.
I would LOVE to see the look on her face.

GuestWe have all been taught to avoid the appearance of evil, but WOW things are health laws — not evil. Right?? So.. A big Starbucks cup at homemaking meeting tomorrow night would be a beautiful thing.
But, I can’t do it. People would assume the worst, and I don’t need any more drama. But I do like the IDEA of doing it .. Just to yank a certain someone’s chain.
