I don’t like to be the one to say but I can’t resist, the one thing that stood out to me in reading his site is the number of typos. “Cooperation” should have been “Corporation”??
I think John Larson lives in Davis County, not Cache County. They are about 1 hour apart by driving distance (and 2 counties in between: Weber and Box Elder). It could be a combination of John Larson and John Dehlin trying to start face to face support groups that is causing the church concern. About 12 years ago, there were some companies called Impact and Landmark. They held meetings that were a mix of spirituality, philosophy, etc. I attended them in SLC, and felt they were very helpful. However, the church soon discouraged participation. I think the church is ok with online activity, but when it starts to turn to face to face meetings, they try to quash that. I think that’s probably were the 2 John’s might be getting into hot water.
