So I would answer yes and no. Religion has been used as a form of control. It has also been used to advance enlightenment. It has been used for injustice and tyranny. Religion is supposed to be a spiritual tool, not the end purpose.

Then, there’s also the sense of belonging that we all crave & would do this or that for.

“Legion” means a large army of thousands.

Re means to repeat? I don’t know where I’m going with this… 😆

I don’t think Jesus was “into” religion, nor do I think any deeply spiritual person is “stuck” on the letter of any religious law.
