Does the Lord really care where my records are?

I think mandatory ward attendance has little to do with any kind of godly interference and is more likely a result of the church trying to balance out the numbers in each ward. If you get members going where ever they want, soon you have a capitalist church where some less than dynamic wards shrivel up and others grow beyond the capacity of the building. Then all the single men will go where all the attractive women are. Its just the way things work, so the church circumvents all those issues by mandating where you attend.
