wow…. I had no idea. I was just wondering the other day how much site traffic we had. There are only a handful of active forum participants and blog respondants, they are really interesting and wonderful people though. My vision of the forums is to create a dialogue that LOTS of other people can follow along and connect with. They don’t have to participate if they don’t want, as long as they can connect with someone else who is similar, and then see how that person worked out success and failures in their reconciliation.
Thanks for sharing that with us, John. I also had no clue. I am very happy that lots of people who don’t feel comfortable opening up and actually commenting still are reading regularly. I am more than happy to do a work that is not quantifiable to us – that might be having an effect in people’s lives about which we never will know. It’s good to know, however, that we really are reaching more people than just those who actively comment.
valoel, what do you think of sending a PM to a few of our regulars – not with John’s numbers, but just letting them know how grateful we are for their participation and that many more people are reading than the comments indicate? I’m open to either option, since the thought just crossed my mind, and I haven’t taken any time to think about it.
Ray, I think that’s a great idea. I too am surprised at the amount of traffic! I do think we get a lot of lurkers, potential NOM dropouts checking it out. Wow! Thanks for that input John. Val, the front page looks great – thanks for posting that everywhere you did. I sometimes wonder if ExMo’s may browse the site and what crosses their minds if they do. Of course I’ve already mentioned I wonder about traditional members browsing as well.
I was surprized to hear FAIR sent someone over! Maybe they thought “you’re too much for me to deal with – see what SLDS can do for you” which is totally fine, I just wonder about how some situations happen.

Slight update on stats (I goofed it a bit): Ya’ll are up to around 6,000 visits per month (depending on the month) by over 600 individuals per month.
Daily average for April: ~220 daily visits….so you’re already at 1500 visits only seven days into the month.
