These two new people that joined recently appear to know each other already. One of them mentioned having written “apologetics.” I am committed to making this site friendly to traditional members of the Church. It needs to be! I feel a strongly about getting traditional members comfortable and in real empathetic connection with the disaffected. We need that desparately in our Church at the local level. I would like us to keep an eye on these guys and coach them if needed. My first impression from their intros and a glance at some responses made think they are not familiar with the language of disaffection. I don’t want threads to turn into arguments and debates over testimonies like might happen on other sites.
They come across too much like traditional apologists, which I predict will be a turn off to some of the people we are trying to help here. Let’s be prepared to help do some behind-the-scenes coaching if needed.

I agree. I had the exact same thought – although it would make it easier for me if I wasn’t seen as the resident apologist.
