Guestby the way (ok, totally off topic, but I’ll ask and then get back to our regularly scheduled program)… Is smoking a cigar addictive like cigarettes? For some reason, I have in mind it is not. ???
Anway, to cwald’s point…the good experiences I wish were more frequent, but I’m still happy when they happen, and I still look for them often, despite being less than thrilled most times in fast and testimony meeting. I find the testimonies that touch me most are the simple and sincere ones…like a young teenager who I can tell is struggling, but is honestly grateful to have a spiritual experience to help them, or the new member who stumbles with what to say, but the perspective is so profound…or the member who has a serious struggle in their family, but doesn’t go into those details, but shares how grateful they are for receiving love from others and warm feelings from the Comforter. I love those kind that are simple and meaningful.
I think I feel the spirit less often in church than I used to…but when I do feel it, it
reallymoves me and helps me appreciate it. March 10, 2011 at 4:23 pm #240912Anonymous
GuestHeber, yes it is. And remember cigars are NOT filtered. Although they tend to be made of better tobacco. Cigar smokers smoke less than cigarette smokers, but they still get grouchy and are in line for cancer.

😯 😆 There really needs to be a sarcasm smiley, but I think you captured it pretty well.FWIW, if I were to smoke, it would be a pipe. Whenever I smell pipe smoke it immediately takes me back to times spent with my grandpa. I miss that man. Sigh.
