Alrighty, well I discussed with my Mom about whether I should take this job that wants me to work some Sundays and she told me that the decision was up to me. It’s just a cashier position at a local grocery store. Keep in mind, it’s not like I desperately need a job at the moment, however, it’d be nice to make the transition of starting to support myself now than later. However, I’m also transferring to a University that’s out of town this Spring.
Now the choice is up to me. My Mom obviously has said that whatever choice I make is fine with her, because it’s my choice and that she’ll support me. My Dad, who’s a stake president also echoed those words as well.
I guess all I would like is just your opinion on working on Sunday with my situation. I’m a community college student, but still living at home.
Just like I said in the last thread, it’s your choice – but a degree of financial independence is important, as is saving money for your future. If global business had its way, we’d all be working 24/7/365… I think this is my biggest objection to people being made to work on a Sunday.
