If church membership were converted to time, where one member = one second, then total church membership represents 174 days. World population would be 235 YEARS.
That puts the difference between millions and billions into perspective.
I like it. I have often thought about the Jews as a small portion of the population while having a relatively great impact upon recent world history. How does such a small group (around 0.2%) have such an large impact on the world? The percentage of Mormons is quite similar. The difference is that Jews really have impacted world history and do impact world affairs while Mormons only think we do.
