I can imagine him talking about “high performance orgasms”. “leadership in orgasms”. “teamwork and effective orgasms”, how to ensure that “an orgasm achieves its mission”, or “best practices within orgasms”. You know, psychology says that when we encounter a particular situation, our tendency is to provide the most “dominant” response. Ever drive out of your home and start driving toward work when you really meant to drive the other way, to the chapel? The word we are most accustomed to using is the one that will often dominate in our language if we are not thinking. I had that problem — I would mean to say “ban” but I would say “band” since I’m a musician. I wonder what was on this Type-A exec’s mind when he wasn’t speaking?
My favorite one is when a sister was giving a talk, and she kept shaking her head and almost laughing throughout the talk. At the end of the talk she apologized and said somehow her computer had autocorrected the word “Jesus” to “Elvis” throughout her talk. Her husband was one of my nursery workers, and he confessed he was the practical joker.
