So I had a kind of rough week this past week, spiritually. Was feeling pretty crappy Sunday morning – contemplated not going. Decided to go anyway, and had a wonderful, great F&T meeting.* While I may have issues with The Church(TM), I love my ward and the people there. I guess that’s enough for me.

*Only one sister offered what I would call the standard F&T Mormon testimony – the others were actual, heartfelt expressions of faith without anything cringe-worthy.

Even though I think the melody is practically unsingable, I’ve always liked the words, “Welcome, welcome, Sabbath morning. Now we rest from every care.”

F&T meeting is a mixed bag. All the years I used to go, I enjoyed it. There has been some “interesting” speakers up there. We all profess our faith and show gratitude in different ways. It is the a raw, unedited Gospel and can be uplifting. When I went up there, I always tried to blend in testimony and tie it into an event that I was grateful for. It always went over good. Oh course, it would require a bit of thinking prior to going up there.

Hymns are awesome, even the unsingable ones. :) I especially like when the organist ups the volume a bit. I want God himself to hear it, in praise! We had a Teacher play one Sunday and it was fantastic! He almost blew the roof off the building.
