I think a break is a good idea. But like I said a little further back in the proceedings, I won’t disappear. And down the road if still needed, I could come back. I wouldn’t take a break now if I didn’t assume that was a possibility. Let me know if I’m right about that.

I’m not angling for a response. I really enjoy you all and it’s meant at lot to me to be with you. But maybe my initial reticence was something I should have paid more attention to.

I think you bring a lot to our group of mods, Ann, but I understand completely if you need a break from that aspect for a while. There have been numerous times I have wanted, temporarily, to take a breather for a bit. This is not an easy thing – not when balance is the goal.

I’ve corresponded with Dax, and I think we’re back on track there. I have asked her whether we should delete that thread or leave it locked, and she wanted to think about it. I offered to delete it and tee up a new one that is more general about the difficulty (near futility) of being a male ally when the topic of polygamy is raised.

I wasn’t online this weekend to be able to check up on the latest.

It looks like HG posted on it and the thread is locked and things are moving on?

I need to catch up on the polygamy doctrine thread now.

Just a few thoughts from my perspective on this whole process…

1. Thanks for everyone openly talking about it

2. I’m totally cool with us as mods not agreeing with each other (actually like it better)

3. We don’t want GroupThink…so disagreeing is something I’m comfortable with all you…I trust you all.

4. None of this is life or death…it is all a support group and we don’t have to be perfect at trying to moderate

Ann…I respect you do whatever you feel is best on your role here…but if you disagree with me or others…all the more reason your name in Green is a good thing to me.

We’re all just volunteers helping lots of different people StayLDS…there may be people who need different mods and PMs are sometimes very good ways to reach out to people on the board.

Anyway…seems like this topic has been handled. Sorry I started it and then disappeared…but had my offline stuff going on with my family. Thanks for handling it.
