Pres. Monson. Let us take our priesthood responsibilities seriously. Love the story of his MP interview with his SP. (If he has dementia, it’s not evident here – I think he’s funnier and more human than ever!) Great testimony of the Savior.

The Priesthood session was definitely the best session yet! Wish the women’s session was this awesome, so I am glad I listened. It was nice to see President Monson

That’s exactly how I felt about the PH session last year. I’m glad that they are streaming it now so it is available to all who want to listen.

    I had the same thought.

I have liked priesthood session most. I am glad it’s more widely available now, and not just because I can watch on the couch in my jammies.

I didn’t watch the earlier sessions of conference today, but I went to the priesthood session. A woman even watched the session with her husband in our chapel. That was awesome! I really liked the session a lot. Elder Ballard’s talk was okay. I didn’t care for Elder Soares’ talk. I didn’t mind the translation, but to me his talk was too dogmatic, black and white. The First Presidency had the best talks by far. President Uchtdorf really knows how to speak to our members that experience faith crises. It’s amazing! 🙂

The PH session was excellent, particularly Pres. Uchtdorf’s talk. Why did the Women’s meeting suck by comparison? Total fluff and stuff.

I missed most of yesterday and from what I read on here and the bloggernacle I didn’t miss much except the dissenting “No’s” which I did watch that part but it wasn’t audible on my TV. I think I will definitely read Pres. Uchdorf’s PM talk as that is something everyone is praising. Seems this conference is very family centeric, which is fine except for those of us who don’t fit into that mold. Sometimes with the church I feel like a square peg being pushed into a round hole. Hopefully today will be more Christ centered as it is Easter… I can hope right??? :D

This is the Easter service. I hope the talks are Christ-centered.

Pres. Eyring mentioned it, and the opening hymn is about Easter. (“He is risen.”)

I love the second song. It reminds me of mom3’s lilac picture yesterday. The verse about the children is especially powerful.

Love Pres. Eyring’s welcome and prominent mention of Easter, followed by Easter music.

Just saw the Saturday evening session and was absolutely floored with how great it was. Didn’t expect that. Christoffersson talk was good and balanced even though I might not agree with the church’s present view on homosexuality. I like that he had such a calm demeanor and didn’t seem preaching at all. The ending talk by cook was standard stuff (dare I say boring) but the 3 talks in between (all by 70s afair) were nothing less than amazing to me. They seemed so genuine and humble and to use scriptural terms: without guile.

Super thoughtful, loving and filled with positivity.

Super super stuff. I thought the talks were all beautiful and inspireded me to often forget all the questions and focus on being Christlike instead.

    Wowzers. :)

Pres. Monson is the first speaker.

New temples: Ivory Coast, Haiti and Thailand. Intent is to allow members to attend without great sacrifice of time and resources. Goal is to feel peace and spiritual connection to God.

The missionary story is touching. I love the story-telling nature of Pres. Monson’s approach. I also love that his focus in this talk is peace- not doctrine of any kind.

Pres. Monson looks so much older. But he’s just as good a speaker now as he was before. He mentions that this conference marks seven years since he was sustained a prophet. I also love his message of peace like Ray mentioned above; his line about going to the temple to find peace stood out to me particularly, but that’s because I’m doing my initiatory in a couple weeks. ;) Ah Pres. Monson, it’s always good to listen to him.

Surprised at the temple announcements. Standard talk for Pres. Monson, focus on the temple and testimony of Easter.
