As 2013 goes out and a new year comes in I’m interested in what people’s new years resolutions are in relation to your spiritual experience.

I decided myself that for next year I would go to different wards until I found a ward I found comfortable in. I decided to do this after being in this ward for 10 months and not feeling welcome in the ward. A handful of people know my name and on a regular basis people will come up to me and say “Oh are you new in the ward?” There are other reasons for doing this that I won’t go into on this post, but yep that’s my goal. Ignore all the “rules” about boundaries and find a ward that makes me welcome.

    What are your goals?

In a nutshell, my New Year’s resolution is to do more to serve in my community, specifically among the most marginalized and shunned.

Thanks for starting the thread. I surprised myself; my answer is more scripture-reading and prayer. I have a new calling and I’m motivated.

My goal is to reconnect my soul with the earth life purpose God gave me. I am really working on listening, following the ideas whispered to me, and go forth with faith in Him.

Ann – I am excited for you. I can feel the energy in your posts. Keep us informed. I love reading Ray’s Sunday School updates, and Mackay’s missionary ones. I miss church0333’s but they will come back. I can’t wait for yours. I wish you tons of success.
