GuestThere really isn’t much more to say on the matter, just the fact that “Loving your neighbor (co-worker, religious buddy, stranger in the store, etc) as yourself” is really hard and my well is drying up. All I can say is “I’m glad it’s sunny outside.”

GuestThat’s a start, it’s not even doing that where I’m at. 🙂 I don’t think it’s humanly possible to obey that particular commandment at all times. Hang in there.

GuestWe know your heart here, mom3! Today you may be the neighbor you need to love. Take care of wonderful you! January 31, 2015 at 2:32 pm #294867Anonymous

Yes, it is easier said than done.
Remember though… pray for them that they might be well, and that your attitudes to one another might be softened.
And also remember, not to let it fester. That’s not good for anyone.

GuestIn the Bible, love usually is an action verb – not a warm, fuzzy feeling inside of you. Therefore, it’s okay not to like some of your “neighbors” much, as long as you keep praying for and serving them in whatever way is possible at the time (and “possible” is elastic, so don’t get bogged down by unrealistic expectations). I agree that we know your heart – and it’s a very good one.

GuestSomebody once said while the Bible tells you to “love thine enemy”, it says no such thing about your friends! 😆 January 31, 2015 at 4:59 pm #294870Anonymous

Can you commit mom to just not killing them today? Can you dig down deep and go that far?
Maybe you should take up skeet shooting. That helps me. I don’t recall any commandment, “When thou pullest thin trigger of thine righteous gauge of 12, though must NOT imagine thine clay pigeon with no blemish to be thy neighbor. Neither is there sin in rejoicing when the clay pigeon is destroyed.”
Lookinghard chapter 1, verse 12

GuestI’m glad “neighbor” means “anybody else”. I get to pick and choose who I can love today. Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel different. February 3, 2015 at 11:07 pm #294872Anonymous
