    I agree with dande48 and I would just add that what I end up seeing fear driving much of the bothersome behavior.

    In fact after reaching that conclusion, I actually can look at the top leaders and feel that they don’t have all that strong of faith as it seems to me they don’t feel the church (or the members) could handle the “truth” (i.e. non-faith promoting items).
