    For me – I am a Teryl Givens Mormon. By that I mean If you listen to his Mormonstories interview and listen to part 3. That defines my view of Mormonism. I so used to be a Bruce R McConkie. Joseph Fielding Smith Mormon…. and now it is hard to realize how different my viewpoint is from where it was.

    I think making church work is like making relationships like marriage work. You accept differences, and focus on a common purpose, not trying to prove everything right or wrong. You forgive. You seek to understand before being understood. Sometimes you let things go, or hold your tongue, or open up and be honest. You look for the positives. It takes work. It takes trying to put deposits in the account and not too many withdrawals with interactions of others at church.
