    LH –

I’m glad many here are staying and choosing to attempt to help (DW is one of those. We have a transgender youth in our ward and DW is in YW and feels she needs to be there to help this particular person).

I, on the other hand, have chosen to take a sabbatical for the rest of the year (and probably indefinitely after that. I really don’t miss it).

Do what you feel you need to do. Stay if you feel its the right thing, take a break if you feel you need some space. We are all on our own journey.

Well I do feel I am heading soon to having to take a bit of time off or at least just Sacrament meetings and not appear as a TBM (not having 3 callings, and showing up for most every event). I am trying not to do this as a knee jerk reaction, but the more I think about it I realize how it is going to affect others (wife, kids, parents, etc), but I still feel even with that I need it.

This is an excellent question, LH, and the whole suicide and lack of caring bothers me immensely.

I keep involved though because I want to be there if someone needs me. I hope I am walking the line such that one struggling for support because of their being gay feels they can approach me for help.
