GuestAloha friends, I am so happy to have found this website. I was very close to leaving the Church, but reading the main article was a revelation to me that there are things I love about the Church, and mindsets I can have to help me stay. I also came face-to-face with the idea that this would be a huge blow to my already struggling marriage.
I have drawn some boundaries and have traded up on my religion, and we will see how it goes.
Warmest Regards and Wishes to all of you going through this. Maybe I can be of help somehow.
Sincerely,
Broofturker

GuestAloha Broofturker, You are indeed among friends and I would love to hear more about your journey.
We are all on individual paths that in some ways seem very similar.
Welcome!

GuestAloha! Welcome. Glad you found it. I know it is really helping me to stay sane, active and really re-evaluate why I do things. I actually find that in some ways I want to keep doing them even if my beliefs have changed.
I found this quote in one of the articles from StayLDS.com and it really fits for me today.
βWhen you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
I am not sure I would be going to church right now without this website to help me see things from a new perspective. It is freedom to me!! Which is what I was searching for. Freedom from the bondage of my beliefs, freedom from the anger that was coming up, freedom from rash decisions that the anger/fear we causing, freedom from black and white thinking. I feel so ready to learn on a new level.
I hope you find what you need here and more I hope you find peace. I can’t wait to hear more from you.
Aloha

GuestAloha and welcome to the StayLDS virtual ward. June 20, 2013 at 7:26 pm #270287Anonymous
GuestWelcome. You mentioned a time restriction and that might be good because some of us spend quite a bit of time on the computer with Mormon issues. It can become consuming when going through a FC because we want answers now because our world is turned upside down. I know that is how I can be but things have stabilized some and there is more balance in my life in so many ways. It feel very good to be in a place where I now say that. -
