GuestHello everyone, My name is Andrew. I was baptized ten years ago and resigned from the Church is 2012. I am trying to come back but have a one year wait. I regret resigning so much but it was do to a lot of harsh feelings I was having at the time. I guess I have always been a black sheep of them all. I am 24. I really enjoy the church and have a wonderful testimony of it. I guess I still have lots of questions… i am pretty versed in the doctrine but there are a few stumpers i have on some things that I don’t know who to ask.. nothing bad.. just mainly things regarding Sealing and Baptisms of The Dead.. I will eventually find a place to ask but in the meantime ill just browse the forum and get to know you all. If you have any questions for me just let me know and I will be more then happy to answer them.

Thank You
Andrew

GuestWelcome, Andrew. Browse away!
Just so you know, I made some small editing changes to your post to remove some information that would make you easy to identify. (baptism date and state of residence) If you don’t mind being able to be identified, feel free to add it back into your post. It’s just that some people want to stay as anonymous as possible.

GuestWelcome, Andrew! So…here’s a question…what are some of the best things about church that bring you back? I’m glad to hear your story and want to hear more.
Welcome. I look forward to learning from your posts.

GuestThanks everyone! The identifying thing is fine but Ill just leave the post as it is.. just adding.. i had been a member for 9 years. Quote:what are some of the best things about church that bring you back
I guess sense I was 14 really I felt this was the true church everything was great for years untill I came in terms with who I am when I was 15 then went inactive and then became active again when I was 18-20. Its been a revolving door of inactive and active.
Anyways, The truthfulness of the Church and how the Plan of Salvation just makes perfect sense.. The feelings I get from reading Church Materials just makes my heart swell. There is really ONLY 1 thing in the Church that always sets me back ten steps.
The fellowship is also another thing that really makes me happy.. I am around morally value people like this means a lot to me.. as finding people who don’t curse or drink is hard to find these days. I know that I could leave my wallet with a member and will get it returned with nothing missing.. Its just wonderful.
Really those are the two big things. The Church has grown on me sense I converted. It always been apart of my life even when I was inactive. I do find it hard though now with 1 member who knows alot about me and literally talks bad about me behind my back then when I am in person I am a complete ghost
 But I always remember that “The Church is Perfect, The members aren’t”. Besides that I seem to get along with everyone so far..
Does this make any sense lol I am kind of rambling on.

Guestpzzam, welcome to this forum. When you said: Quote:i am pretty versed in the doctrine but there are a few stumpers i have on some things that I don’t know who to ask.. nothing bad.. just mainly things regarding Sealing and Baptisms of The Dead.
The gospel is interesting. Why some people are stumped on a particular topic & others are drawn to the same teaching or principle. Lately I’ve become more interested in FH, sealing & baptisms for the Dead. God bless on your journey.
