Please read the first three posts by it54.

I am concerned that this person is not a good match for us. His intro and posts read as coming from someone who is fundamentalist in nature – wanting to return to the strict days of Old Testament like prohibitions and attitudes.

Based on his reaction to my responses to his intro post and the one on idolatry, I locked the intro post and deleted one he wrote about abortion – insisting that abortion should be outlawed in all cases, regardless, and that allowing it in any situation is a sign of wickedness and apostasy.

I think the idolatry post is worth pursuing, but if we delete him from our list of participants we will lose it, I think. What does everyone suggest? Should one of us simply rework the general topic and start a new thread about it – or should we go ahead and delete his account and his posts?

I can remove a user and keep their posts. I’ve never done it before, but we could give it a try. It’s an option in the “delete user” admin tool.
