I came across this article this morning and thought I should share it with all of you. I had heard this basic info years ago, and I love how it changes the basic story of Jesus’ birth.

Thanks Curt. I like the challenge of looking at the scriptures & teaching of the church in different or unconventional ways.

His approach is well thought out & interesting to consider.

I’ve read this and to be honest it doesn’t do much for me. The linguistic aspect is interesting, but it doesn’t change my view of the nativity.

There is a nice little book written by Brad Wilcox called Because of the Messiah in a Manger which covers a lot of this type of stuff. It is a short but very insightful read.
