I moved a first post by Joe Bouvier to the Parking Lot, since it is nothing more than a survey – supposedly as part of a Master’s thesis, but with obvious mistakes in the wording of at least one question. I researched him a little and saw that he is associated with an evangelical Christian group in Utah that is classically anti-Mormon. The questions themselves seem relatively harmless, but I am concerned that he probably is circulating the survey mostly, if not exclusively, among groups he thinks are opposed to the LDS Church – and I also am concerned about us supplying survey answers that are intended to be used as propaganda against the Church.
I didn’t comment on it in the Parking Lot section, since I didn’t want to approve it and him.
What do you think?
Sounds a little fishy to me. I think it was a good call. Good call. We should nix it on his bio alone. I will delete it. I doubt he will try to check in, since I think he was just posting in as many places as possible. I also will delete his account. Sounds good. I think he mentioned in his registration he was doing some kind of social science research. It might be OK if it were just that on its own, but don’t really want to get tangled up in Utah anti-Mormon baloney.
