I will post my weekly Sunday School lesson summary at some point today, but the monthly topic is Priesthood and Priesthood Keys. We are going through Elder Oaks’ recent talk about Priesthood keys and authority sentence-by-sentence and talking about how this talk changes the way we should discuss and understand the Priesthood. It literally is blowing the students’ minds as we do so. (I also should add that they don’t find any problem whatsoever in the changes, unlike many in the older generations, especially my age and up, who would struggle much more to understand and accept the changes.)

In this case, I find it fascinating that someone who is called a “hardliner” is the spokesperson for such radical and progressive change about how we frame and discuss such a fundamental part of our Mormon worldview.
