    Yeah SD, I think that abuse hotline was established for exactly that kind of reason. We want all of our church leaders complying with the law – for their sake as well as the sake of the church.

    I would also self declare as a mandatory reporter though I do not know that doing so would get me out of any callings. 😆

    I just did a quick review of mandated reporters in my ward leadership.

    -A counselor in the bishopric is a nurse

    -The RS president is a nurse, one counselor is a teacher’s aide

    -The Primary president is a foster care provider, one counselor is a teacher and the other is a doctor – all mandated.

    -The YW presidency has a counselor who is a nurse and another who is a teaching assistant.

    The EQP and SSP both seem to have no mandated reporters at this time. But, that’s a pretty hefty load of “high ranking” local officers.
