    I experienced this sort of thing throughout my Youth in the church. Just don’t let it change your faith at all! Be strong. It is probably hard though, but just remember why yuo are part of this wonderful church in the first place. Once again, I’m so sorry this happened. Sadly, this is very common within the church. It’s something the leaders of the church absolutely hate

    In the Dallas area, LDS prom was held at Southfork Ranch — where the show Dallas used to be filmed. It is a huge commercial venue for weddings/proms/business events. It was a high end event. Lots of limos .. The full prom experience but with the expectation that clothes stayed on all night.

    I am not leaving the church over how my daughter is being treated. My issues are about historical events, policies, and honesty. But being so annoyed with our local ward makes it much easier to walk away without guilt over social ties.
