GuestSitting in the awaiting approval queue are three posts by Levi714. I realize I can be very sensitive about such things, especially coming from someone we don’t know, but these posts sound very orthodox and in my view seem to be more of a “corrective” as opposed to a “supportive” nature. I suspect he may be here to “fix” us, but again I can be hyper sensitive (especially when scripture is quoted and testimony is borne). Has anyone contacted this person? Is there more than what I’m seeing? I am willing to send him a message and (politely and gently) inquire about his motives if no one else has or wants to or thinks they can do it better than I (the latter is actually pretty likely).

GuestYa think? Yeah, he’s in the wrong place for sure. I’d kick him out of Gospel Doctrine for not being open minded enough and for being boring and robotic. February 6, 2015 at 12:29 pm #294753Anonymous
GuestTry reaching out and asking. I think he is a bad fit. But we probably should ask, at least. February 6, 2015 at 6:24 pm #294754Anonymous
GuestYa…he seems pretty preachy from a complete orthodox perspective. But I tend to think it is good for the forum to engage people like him, and know how to react and carry on a dialogue with folks that come in thinking they need to set us straight. They usually don’t stay long when they see they don’t fit in, but nothing in his posts is objectionable to me, so I say we approve it, and monitor the dialogue to make sure it doesn’t become combative. It’s good to have differing views.
That’s my opinion.

GuestI sent him an email, he has not yet responded. February 6, 2015 at 9:24 pm #294756Anonymous
GuestI went ahead and approved the post in the First Vision thread, since he referenced the Wentworth letter (again, nothing controversial to moderate it), since there was a response to the Wentworth letter, and I felt the context warranted it. The other two posts I have not approved…wondering if we want to get a response first from the email from DJ.

GuestI’m not the reach out person, so thanks for doing that. -
