Live4Real is making me a bit nervous. Anybody else? I’m getting a possible vibe of “you people just need to get over it to be happy” and/or “I don’t need you, but I have all the answers for you.” We shall see. Key statements that make me nervous: – I feel like questions do always have answers, and discomfort can always be followed by comfort
– You’ve gotta control you. You’ve gotta make life good. You’ve gotta trust in God, whom is the only one our trust is completely safe in.
– happiness is a qulification for Celestial Glory
– I feel like I am wanted and useful here, not because I need to be or even want to be
Yeah, I don’t know how to take it with just the intro, but it could go either way, imo. Yeah, in fairness, some of his comments sounded right, too: – “I fell in love with the question, “What is real?” and it has deterred me and bouyed me up when I searched for answers” Although he clearly used the word ‘deterred’ wrong – I think he’s probably just young.
– “if you can stay on your toes, look for light, truth, and joy, then you aren’t on the wrong path”
– “God intends for you to enjoy life, not dutifully and unwantingly and unworthily”
So a bit of a mixed bag anyway.
Yes I had the same thoughts, a mixed bag. In some ways he reminds me of some of the feelings I had when I first went online. I was in a little denial about my doubts, and super paranoid about being discovered so I wanted to sound as faithful as I could muster – but was in serious need of alternate nourishment.
