About two years ago I had a faith crisis. I read a lot of books and websites and ended up not believing everything the LDS Church teaches. I’ve read a bit of the forums here on Stay LDS.com, and it’s nice to know that there are other people out there who feel kind of the same way about the Church. Last November I started a blog called Reasons to Stay LDS (Even Though You Don’t Believe in the Church Anymore), so I wanted to promote it here. Normally, I add admin notes in separate comments, but this time I simply want to say as an admin that I hope you can participate in more ways than simply promoting your blog.
Thanks for the welcome! Thanks for mentioning your blog. You can probably do a lot of good here on the forums as well. I don’t know what forum policy is, but if you want to promote future blog posts, I would recommend giving us a brief description of what the post is about so we know whether to be interested in it or not. Also, the URL in your original post is broken. There’s an extra period at the end.
[ Admin Note]: There is no problem whatsoever with mentioning a post on a personal blog that relates to the topic being discussed in a thread. I do it quite often, since I’ve posted something almost every day but Sunday for over five years. The number of comments where I have referenced posts on my blog, however, is a very small fraction of my total comments – and that is how it should be, as a general rule. Primarily, this is a place to support each other, not promote our outside blogs. /back to welcoming telemoonka
