GuestDoes anyone know on which sites RT and Serenity post? Thanks November 25, 2008 at 4:27 pm #214141Anonymous
GuestI don’t know them, except through listening to their interview from MormonStories and reading their Blog a little. Here’s serenity’s email address:
serenityv@gmail.com It was posted on their blog (which hasn’t been active for months).

GuestI dont know them either. I just listened to their podcast from Mormonstories and was hoping to read some of their views. She has had experiences with Christ and revelation that I have yet to have AND it is so nice to believe that perhaps I might in the future. I dont feel comfortable sending her an email. Thank you for answering me. November 26, 2008 at 12:12 am #214143Anonymous
GuestThat’s fine. I understand. Just one last word of encouragement maybe, you’d be suprised how open and accessible people can be. A simple email asking if she still actively posts somewhere isn’t a big deal. I’ve been pleasantly suprised most of the time when i’ve tried to contact people in the larger mormon internet community. They’re usually very cool about it.

GuestRoasted Tomatoes is J. Nelson-Seawright, who posts and comments at BCC regularly. Serenity Valley is his wife, Taryn Nelson-Seawright. She is now a permablogger on FMH (
http://www.feministmormonhousewives.org/?p=2084 ), although she doesn’t post very often.November 26, 2008 at 4:50 pm #214145Anonymous
GuestWhat is BCC? November 26, 2008 at 5:04 pm #214146Anonymous
GuestThank you all for your replies. I found both sites. The one site gave the name of the BCC site. By Common Consent. I feel very unintellectual around all of you intellectuals. I think alot, study very little compared to all of you. I have been busy raising lots of children in the OLD FASHIONED do it yourself way and it takes alot more time than the SHARING THE BURDEN way. Oh, well. I will study more someday. I get about one book read per month. Ha Ha. ANYWAY, thanks for all the help.

GuestMonkey, Please don’t ever feel out of place because of what you might perceive about intellects. One of the most amazing, Christ-like persons I have ever known struggled through and hated school. He is a wonderful man, and his common sense approach to the Gospel is, I believe, much more important than any intellectualizing I might do – as much as my mental journeys mean to me. If I had to choose between a dizzying intellect and his spiritual condition, I would take his situation every day – without hesitation. The length of words and complexity of sentences has nothing to do with spiritual insight and righteousness and simple goodness. Nothing.
