Marek from NOM may end up here. We are booting her off of FacesEast. She started trouble. I “scolded” her. She tried to reform herself but can’t get past her first bad impression.

I personally believe she is a little mentally unstable. She has a victim/attention personality and is easily “hurt” by comments. In the past at NOM she no longer identified as a member, having left and joined a Presbyterian congregation down the street. They barely tolerate her at NOM.

I am ok if she comes here, but we need to take action immediately if she deviates too much from the rules and mission of this board, or if she starts to cause drama and problems. One direct, blunt warning. Anything further and she gets the boot!

I feel a need to help people like her. She appears to be trying to more engaged with the LDS Church now that her son is home from a mission. We need to help people, even ones with mental problems if we can. We can’t let it ruin the whole community though.

She may register with a different pseudonym. Here are parts of her real life profile to identify her:

1. She mostly attends a Presbytarian church now with her husband (nothing wrong with that per se).

2. She will make naive arguments based on quotes from the Bible to support her ideas. Sorry to judge, but she gets routinely torn apart at NOM for this…

3. She has a son that recently returned from a mission

4. She will tell a story about terrible priesthood abuse. She rarely goes into details. Also, members were mean to her and did not understand her. The details are sketchy, but her Bishop was involved and she will say her Stake President was very understanding. I could swear I recall her implying that there was a romantic relationship between her and the BP, that her husband found out, he didn’t care or something but left the Church? When pressed on details, it just gets wierd and sounds a little fantasy-like.

5. She has a younger daughter. Not sure on age.

6. She VT’s 3 older women. She enjoys that. She has no other calling.

7. She claims to attend the LDS Church occasionally still after her other church.

Those are consistent facts she includes that would help identify her if she showed up here under a different name.

I suspected this based on her introduction, but wasn’t sure until I glanced at some of her responses in other threads. The whole story of abuse by her Bishop and compassion from her Stake President tipped the scales.

FYI: We banned her from FacesEast. I think she has been on the verge of being banned from NOM at times, can’t say for sure though.

She isn’t an overt trouble maker, that is what makes it tricky. She has a habit of generating drama and chaos around her though — playing a victim role when people call her out on it. We need to watch her carefully! Short leash, one warning and goodbye IMO.

She could use some help. I’ve talked to her as a moderator at FacesEast and tried to coach her a little. She seemed to try and improve, but it was too late. She caused too much turmoil there to recover. I am ok giving her a chance here and trying to help her. I don’t want to let her disrupt things much though.
