So DH and I were out at a James Avery store this morning picking up the charms we get every year for our daughters’ charm bracelets. DH looked at me and asked, “Would you let me buy you a cross necklace?” For a devout LDS guy married to me — someone who is not LDS anymore — it was the ultimate gesture of love and support.
We picked out a tiny Latin cross together. It will be a sign of my belief in Christ
Thought I would share the goodness of an excellent partner.
He is a wonderful man – for far more reasons than just the cross, but for the cross, also. Ray, I feel so blessed to have a partner who loves me for ME. Yes, he would prefer that I share his faith in the LDS church, but the love and the marriage continue in spite of my faith crisis. After almost 31 years, he is still the guy who rocks my world. He is truly a blessing.
