Here is a visionary project supposedly built on JS’s plans…

I don’t recall the business ventures of JS being all that successful.

I read the article and had checked out the website as well. I admit I’m being judgemental, but it sounds to me like this guy is a nutcase. I don;t believe these little Utopias will ever become reality. There’s a reason very few people live in Vermont. Not that it’s not a nice place, it’s beautiful and the people are wonderful. Winter is a whole different story there, even if you do like wintery stuff like skiing.

To me it sounds like the “gated community” that Hawk Grrrl was talking about in the “Books & Media” tab.

Well there are “gated communities” and then there are gated communities.

P.S. – I just googled “prison” and picked a picture and didn’t notice this was Utah State until I was copying the URL. What are the chances? And to be clear this is Utah Sate PRISON, not the university 😆 Different “institution”.

The thing that baffled me was the 10X20 foot rooms for people. Wouldn’t you want them to be really big living units to accomodate family, and having a buzillion kids? Maybe I didn’t read it right.
