GuestI have listened to the Jeff Burton, Kevin Kloosterman, and Lord is it I. They were all GREAT. I feel very much like you and the “Lord is it I”. I have done better the last few months not getting pissed at TBM’s and exmo’s. I do think in the long run helping both of them stop demonizing each other is probably best done by people like those on this site being patient – or not! Actually President Uchtdorf could give one very clear conference talk and move things along quicker, but I am glad for what he has done so far. December 13, 2014 at 2:46 am #258110Anonymous
GuestThanks for all the kind words everyone. Wouldn’t it be awesome if there were 20 of us in a ward instead of one and that one ward where there are 2 December 13, 2014 at 6:38 am #258111Anonymous

GuestI would settle for 1. There might be one guy, but he travels almost all the time so I have had a hard time getting close enough to him to feel comfortable opening up to him. December 21, 2014 at 5:00 am #258115Anonymous

We talk about how the majority of the accusations come very late, even decades after the death of the prophet. We talk about what the evidence is in each case and why we should in all likelihood throw each of these out with the exception of Fanny Alger which we speak about at length.

GuestStill not sure how I feel about expert apologists like hales. While I’m glad he is doing such exhaustive research and making as strong a case as he can to counter critics, he is still a non objective historian and therefore can’t be taken too seriously. I read his arguments a long time ago on the fair website and found them to be pretty weak unless I was to suspend my sense of reality. It was then that I was sure JS was having sex with his polyandrous wives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GuestIn order not to derail this thread I invite anyone that wants to post on Brian Hales and his perspective on polygamy to do so at the following thread: http://forum.staylds.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4453&hilit=brian+hales I did notice that Bro. Hales was referenced in the recent church essay on JS polygamy.

GuestHaving a mind that is generally more analytical (I am an engineer), I liked your podcast on the Athiest Active Mormon (I think it is a “premiere” episode, so it will be released publicly in a few months). I enjoyed his discussion of axioms. Quite interesting. December 31, 2014 at 6:38 pm #257824Anonymous

the enigmatic D. Michael Quinn has agreed to appear on the podcast in February. I am so excited as he is one of those figures in Mormonism who intrigues the daylight out of me.
What Questions do you have for him? This is your chance!

GuestI would like to know if he has ever received an apology from the church for being excommunicated for publishing anti mormon material, now that the church has admitted he was telling the truth. -
