Thanks for all of your replies. They really did make me feel comforted. I’m very involved on campus and things have been hectic at the end of the semester, so unfortunately I haven’t been able to respond the way I wanted to, but I just want to thank you all for your welcoming spirit. I’ve also been lurking the boards frequently. I will give better responses later. Thank you!
Welcome to the board, though I am newer than you here.
I completely relate to the feeling of mourning. I have been mourning quite a bit. So much of my comfort and guidance and solace came from my involvement in the church. Unfortunately, some of my greatest pains and mental health problems have come from the church as well. I am very much in the midst of this struggle and I am often sad about it. It brings me to tears at times. You are not alone and I am glad you are here.
Mourning is a part of life, change, and progress. It’s a sign that you are moving ahead, out of your comfort zone, and while it’s disconcerting, it’s also positive ultimately. Welcome to the site, and I hope you do well on your finals!
