Moving a thread – StayLDS

I think Sambee’s Celestine Prophecy thread probably belongs in the books section as opposed to Spiritual Stuff. But I don’t know how to move it. (I don’t even believe or hope how to move it!)

I was just thinking the same thing but stayed my hand for the exact same reasons.

I just took a stab in the dark and it appears as though I was able to successfully move the topic.

In the bottom right-hand corner of a thread there’s a dropdown called “Quick-mod tools”. I set that to “Move Topic” and hit “Go.”

That brought up another page that had a dropdown of the various forums and an option to leave a shadow copy behind, presumably to leave a copy of the thread where it was so you could lock it and add an admin note with a link to the new location. I probably should have done that.

Anyway, I set the dropdown to the new forum location and hit Go again.

Thanks. I think it’s good you actually moved it without leaving a copy, FWIW. I don’t think SamBee will have a problem.
